Making Magic

Reflection & Wrap-Up

Weeks 1-4 are all about laying the foundation for your manuscript.

Using our first few workbooks, we'll establish a strong concept, develop compelling characters, map out your story's world, and start plotting!

This planning and plotting stage is crucial for the success of the next stage: drafting your novel.

Now it's time to get to work drafting your novel!

Over the next few weeks, you'll begin implementing the careful planning we've done.

You'll write and submit your chapters, and I'll give you my personalized feedback.

We'll meet weekly to brainstorm and troubleshoot as we buckle down to make Manuscript Magic™ happen.

As we near the finish line, we'll attempt to finalize your first draft!

We'll evaluate your progress, assess the best next steps, and map out a personalized revision plan.

You'll walk away from the program with a renewed sense of clarity, confidence, and a clear path forward as you continue your quest to become a published author!

THE FAQs

What happens if I don't finish my novel by the end of the 16 weeks?

While this intensive mentorship program is designed to get you from idea to finished draft in 16 weeks, completing your manuscript is never a guarantee.

Should you find yourself with an incomplete draft by the end of the program, you'll have the option to either extend our time together or devise a writing plan that's sure to boost your confidence as you move forward on your own!

How much time should I set aside each week?

You'll want to carve out as many hours as possible to get the most out of this program. I break it down like this:

  • 1 hour for our live coaching call
  • 1-2 hours to complete the exercises and go over any shared resources
  • 5-10+ hours to write and revise

Every writer's process is different, but most find this to be a manageable structure—even with a busy schedule. But don't worry, I understand life happens. That's why I approach the program with grace and flexibility.

Can I submit more than one chapter at a time for feedback?

Definitely! My threshold for weekly submissions is up to 6,000 words.

If that means two or three chapters, send them my way!

What if I fall behind or miss a deadline?

That's the beauty of personalized coaching—it's tailored specifically to YOU!

While I would encourage you to stay on top of the drafting phase—and will most certainly hold you accountable—I also understand that life gets pretty hectic sometimes.

We'll work together to develop a plan that'll ensure your success in the program.

Do you offer a payment plan?
